Kids Programs

We want our kids to take a first look at who God is and understand:
• God made me
• God loves me
• Jesus wants to be my friend forever
In light of this, we provide programming that extends beyond Sunday morning and meets each child where they're at.

KidsQuestPM is our midweek program for Birth-Grade 5. We run Wednesdays from 5:45-7:45 PM September thru April/May. Kindergarten kids can choose from either the early childhood program or the elementary program.  Elementary kids will use their Bibles A LOT learning Bible skills, reviewing Sundays lesson and how to apply it to their lives, actively learning about different forms of prayer, participating in games and activities as well as learning about God’s attributes from A-Z … all while having a wild and crazy time! Great opportunity to bring friends who don’t go to church as well as make new friends! (Click here to register)

We give all preschool families a “My First Hands On Bible” and Kinder-Grade 1 kids receive an “Action Bible.” Kids may earn a free “Fire Bible” by memorizing the Books of the New and Old Testaments. All elementary students should bring their Bibles every Sunday. They will be looking up the true Bible adventures and memory verses. Prior to entering Grade 2 we provide materials to parents for a Bible presentation ceremony done at home.

Timothy Team is our service program for all students 3rd grade through high school. These students receive specialized training in order to help with our early childhood program (Nursery through Kindergarten). This is beneficial to the kids who serve as it allows them to utilize the gifts that God has given them. It's also beneficial to the kids who are being served as they relate well to someone closer to their age. If your child would like to become involved in the Timothy Team, contact Susan Harris.

KidsBaptism.png

Children’s Baptism is offered several times a year for children Grades 3 and up. If your child is ready to be baptized you will request a packet that will be completed at home with you the parents. After the packet is completed kids will be interviewed by the Pastor of Kids Ministries. Once this interview has been completed, they can be baptized at any upcoming baptism service.

ChildDedication.png

Infant/Child Dedication is offered on Mother’s Day and any other time throughout the year a family requests (and Pastor Doug is available). Through this ceremony, parents present their child to the Lord and vow to raise their child in a Godly home. In lieu of a class or orientation, parents are given a packet to be completed at home at their convenience that includes the meaning of dedication and being intentional about the spiritual legacy you will leave your kids.  After you complete the packet you will meet with the Pastor of Kids Ministries and discuss beginning the spiritual training of your child, what to expect from Christian education and how to assume the spiritual leadership in your home.

KidsNiteOut.png

Kids Nite Out is offered a couple times a year and is open to kids ages birth through 5th grade. The evening is primarily a chance for parents to have a night out and for kids to bring their friends to LOCC. We’ll have dinner, exciting games, crafts, snacks and a movie. Kids bring their sleeping bags and camp out on the High School Room floor during movie time. Kindergarten and younger kids will have their own games and movie.

VBS.png

Each year we will hold VBS for ages 4 through Grade 5. This exciting week is a dynamic outreach event for our church as kids can invite their unchurched friends to attend for free. Every year their is a theme for VBS and the church is transformed into a place of wonder resembling that theme. They learn the truth of God's Word while having a blast!
